Sale + Coupons = BIG Savings!
Last month we told you about a rare high value $2.50/1 President Cheese printable coupon. At that time, I printed the coupon and stuck it into my binder. I wasn't planning on buying it when I printed it, but I wanted the coupon just in case I found a deal.
This week, Albertsons put President Brie Cheese Wedges on sale for $3.99 each. This item is usually $6.99 or higher!
- $2.50/1 coupon I printed last month
= $1.49 each!
I love baked Brie with Apple slices, but not enough to spend $7.00, or even $5.50 for 7 ounces of cheese! This transaction is an excellent example of how getting coupons when they are available and saving them for the right sale can save a significant amount of money.
By printing those 2 coupons when they were available, and waiting for this sale, I saved almost $10.00, making a product that I would not normally buy (even with a great coupon) totally affordable. It is a simple strategy that is applicable to saving money on the things you need everyday and sometimes, even the things you just want :)
